Director Yann Demange makes his feature debut with this British action thriller set in Belfast during the Troubles. In 1971 during a Belfast riot British soldier Gary Hook (Jack O'Connell) gets separated from his army unit and is forced to spend the night alone on the dangerous streets, unable to distinguish between his friends and his enemies. In her multi-channel video works, internationally acclaimed artist Candice Breitz (born 1972) investigates how both our sense of self and our relations with others are shaped by media culture. "Same Same" accompanies her first major exhibition in North America, and features projects from 2000-2009. It premiers "Factum" (2009), which is named after two Robert Rauschenberg "Combine" paintings from 1957, and constitutes a series of video portraits of seven sets of identical twins and one set of identical triplets. This is the first work by Breitz to engage directly with biographical themes. With nearly 100 full-color illustrations, "Same Same" features an extensive section on "Factum" and its making, plus a wealth of illustrations of key works from Breitz's oeuvre: "Him + Her" (1968-2008), "Legend (A Portrait of Bob Marley)" (2005), "Becoming" (2003), "Soliloquy Trilogy" (2000) and "Four Duets" (2000).

Following his participation in SITE Santa Fe's Seventh International Biennial, The Power Plant presented Toronto artist Scott Lyall's largest solo exhibition to date in 2008. Titled "The Color Ball," it surveyed Lyall's past work alongside a new assemblage, drawing from seven performance-based projects. This catalogue includes installation images from this and previous exhibitions, and documents events that took place during the course of the show.

"The Economy of the Image" presents a newly commissioned suite of 12 large-scale photo-lamination paintings by Vancouver-based artist Ian Wallace (born 1943). The paintings reference photographs taken by the artist in Canada's most important financial district in Toronto. This artist's book reproduces each work individually and then systematically increases the levels of magnification to focus on details selected by the artist.XX
